Brigitte Röder in the DFG senate

Brigitte Röder elected as a new member of the DFG senate.
On July 3rd, 2019, Hector Fellow Brigitte Röder was elected as one of the twelve new members of the senate of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The election was held during the general assembly in Rostock. Hector Fellow Brigitte Röder will take the place for psychology previously held by Prof. Dr. Onur Güntürkün (University of Bochum). Hector Fellow Antje Boetius and Hector Fellow Eva Grebel, who previously held the positions of Atmospheric and Marine Research and Experimental Physics respectively, will leave the Senate.
The German Research Foundation (DFG) is the largest research funding organization and central self-governing organization of science in Germany. It pursues the promotion of scientific excellence and quality and allocates 3.2 billion euros in public funds. The Senate is the DFG's central scientific body and is responsible for all essential decisions regarding research funding prior to funding decisions. Its members are elected for a term of four years.
