Antje Boetius was appointed as a new member of the board of trustees of the DBU.
Hector Fellow Antje Boetius is part of the board of trustees of the Deutsche Bundestiftung Umwelt (DBU) since 12.06.2019 for the following five years. The Federal Government appoints the members of the DBU’s Board of Trustees for a period of five years. As one of six member out of 16, Prof. Dr. Antje Boetius was appointed for the first time.
As one of Europe’s biggest foundations with a funding capital of around € 2.24 billion, the DBU funds innovative, exemplary and solution-oriented projects for the protection of the environment. Since 1991, the DBU has funded nearly 9,700 projects with the focus on environmental technology and research, nature conservation, environmental communication and protection of cultural assets.
Every year the DBU awards the German Environmental Award for achievements that make an exemplary contribution to protecting and preserving the environment.
